a: We gave Chase Identity protection five stars when we reviewed the service in 2008. However, we found at that time that the Chase service is really more of a monitoring report service credit as a protection service against identity theft. Like other credit report monitoring services, Chase gives you access to your credit reports and scores from all three credit bureaus and sends e-mail alerts when changes are recorded in your credit report.
If you are concerned mainly identity theft, we recommend LifeLock or trust ID. Both services offer plans that will help you and your family against the financial identity theft protection.
