Robert Manning, author of Credit Card Nation , made a list of ten things you should not put on your credit card. Why? Because credit card companies can begin to see you as a risk if, for example, you load your federal taxes. But there are other things too. Here is the list, courtesy of NPR market:
1. Traffic Tickets
2. Retreading tires
3. Bargain Shopping (purchases in stores low price suddenly, when you have not already)
4. Purchasing adults (porn, strip clubs)
5. Marriage Counseling
6. lottery tickets
7. cash Advances
8. Personal Pampering
9. income taxes
10. alcohol (especially loading your tab bar)
the bottom line is that credit card companies have decided that you are what you buy. So next time you're at the bar, you may want to consider using the money. While you're busy rethink your charging habits, you can also read our comments credit cards and comparisons.
