Approximately 11% of all US college students, about 2 million students took most of their courses online in autumn 2008, according to market research firm Eduventures. Richard Garrett, a research analyst with Eduventures, said that the registration of online education has grown at about 20% per year over the past decade and is expected to reach 3.5 million by 2013 students.
