DVD rental service Netflix launches online 5% discount to all customers as a result of a technical problem in their system automated shipping Monday, March 24 that caused all DVD deliveries be delayed by one day.
The rebate was announced in an email sent to subscribers this morning:
Dear Joseph,
As you have heard, our system shipping was unexpectedly for most of Monday. We should have sent you a DVD but were unable to. Your DVD was delivered today, Tuesday, March 25 instead.
Sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. We will issue a 5% credit to your account in the coming days. You must not do anything. The credit will be automatically applied to your next billing statement.
