Hackers accessed a server that hosts the personal information of about 60,000 students and employees of the Antioch University in Yellow Springs current and former, OH according to a recent report in the Computer World magazine.
The server was vulnerable to third parties due to a known security flaw that was not corrected by the technical staff of the University. The university authorities discovered the break-in and data breach while investigating a virus that had infected the server because of the security issue.
The personal data have been raped sometimes later February 13, 2008 and discovered by the technical staff of the University soon after.
