TJX, the parent company of TJ Maxx, Marshalls and several other national retailers, takes one day 15 % on the sale as part of a settlement agreement related to their huge violation of 2006 data that exposed the personal information of more than 45 million consumers.

TJX, those eligible for the sales and broader regulations include all

  • In the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada who have made a purchase or return to a TJ Maxx, Marshalls, TJ Maxx 'n More, Marshalls Megastore, the Maxx, HomeGoods, AJ Wright, Winners or HomeSense output.
  • Who believes their personal or financial data was stolen or placed at risk of being stolen from TJX's computer systems.
  • who think they have been damaged.

In addition to the sale of a day, the TJX settlement also provides additional protection against identity theft for affected consumers. According to their website:

The proposed settlement provides vouchers, cash benefits, credit monitoring, identity theft insurance, and reimbursements to those affected by the intrusion
