When Apple launched its Leopard operating system earlier this year one of the most talked about features was automatic backup tool called Time machine. However, some users began to report problems with the service that prevent back up important files that are stored on the hard drive of their computer.
David Zeiler of the Baltimore Sun reports a recent issue with Time Machine, which ask whether the service can really be relied upon.
But a series of bugs with Time Machine to wonder if I can fully trust. If nothing else, the backup software must be absolutely reliable.
The bug that caught my eye affects my Mac Pro. Since the installation of the incremental update 10.5.3 Leopard (released May 28), Time Machine occasionally craps in the midst of its hourly backups.
It presents the following message: â € œUnable to complete the backup. An error occurred while copying files to the backup volume.A € ??
Not exactly reassuring, huh?
