Q: I think I have been the target of identity theft. What Lifelock can do about it now, just keep re-occurrance
A: LifeLock can help you prevent future theft identity and the recovery of any identity theft may have already occurred. Once you've signed up, call 1-800-LifeLock and select option two. You will be directed to a service representative at the LifeLock customer and can let them know that you believe you have been victim of identity theft. They will be able to advise you further on what services may be available to you at this time.
One thing to note is that if you have been victim of identity theft, the best thing to help prevent further damage to your credit is to get a credit freeze placed on your report credit with all three major credit bureaus, Equifax, Experian and TransUnion. The credit freeze will lock your credit so that no credit report can only be issued to you without your explicit permission. This step will remove the new account fraud is one of the most common forms of identity theft. You can discuss this further with a LifeLock representative when you sign up for your free trial.
