Data Breach Alert: Massachusetts College exposes 20,000 personal identities -
Lasell College in Newton, Massachusetts is in contact with 20,000 current students, alumni and faculty after a hacker accessed computers containing data personal, including the names and social security numbers.
College officials have said there is no evidence that personal information has been misused since the breach was discovered on February 6 this year.A is believed that the attacker is a job the college.
Impacted consumers are notified by email and the college is taking steps to improve security measures to prevent similar cases in the future.
