Winning the lottery, losing your identity?
- names, social security numbers, address and the amount of the price for over 89,000 lottery winners were compromised when a former employee of the Texas Lottery Commission copied the sensitive information on discs after being fired from his job as a computer analyst from last year. The Lottery Commission is in the process of notifying affected individuals and advising them to place fraud alerts on their credit records. The former employee is under investigation by the prosecutor's office of Travis County.
