A British web hosting company reported that data of less than 100 000 sites hosted on this server was destroyed as a result of vulnerabilities in a software program used by many web hosts.

The hackers managed to gain very high levels of access to a large number of sites hosted on the host Vaserv.com by hacking a common software utility used by many of these companies 'Web hosting. The company officials estimated that about 50% of affected sites not any data backup type and, therefore, may completely lost. Vaserv.com technicians actively working to restore the remaining sites affected.

It is also estimated that the pirates had direct access to sensitive personal information stored on the servers of Vaserv.com. This data breach is likely to have an impact in the world given the international nature of the Internet and even many of the affected sites.
