Violation Alert data: San Quentin visitors exposed to inmates, theft of identity -
A flash drive containing the names, license numbers to drive and date of birth about 3,500 visitors recently at the San Quentin prison in northern California was lost last week according to prison officials.
Prison guards regularly use the flash drive to move information collected from visitors to the administrative office of the prison to computers located in two of the facility entrance doors. The information was discovered missing last Friday.
