Q: How can I remove my name from marketing lists so I'll stop receiving instant credit cards, loans and other junk mail
A: We do not blame you for wanting to be removed from these types of lists. Not only is unsolicited mail annoying and bad for the environment, but it can also lead to identity theft. For example, identity thieves can use the information in the pre-approved offers unsolicited credit for opening new accounts in your name and run balances without your knowledge.

There are two basic steps you can take to achieve this:
1) Visit optoutprescreen.com and demand that you stop receiving pre-approved financial offers by issuers credit cards, banks, mortgage lenders and other financial services institutions.
2) Visit (DMA) Mail Preference Service website and application of the Direct Marketing Association to be removed from receiving marketing campaigns mailed. Although this will not eliminate all spam, it should significantly reduce the amount of unsolicited mail you receive.
